Ken Armstrong brings together the discipline of a lawyer, the perspective of a Queensborough resident, and the civic experience of someone who has already put his name forward to lead New Westminster. As the New West Progressives’ mayoral candidate in the 2022 civic election, Ken developed a strong understanding of the issues facing residents across the city and the need for leadership that is prepared, thoughtful, and accountable.
Ken is focused on responsible growth, improved infrastructure planning, safer and more livable streets, and stronger respect for neighbourhood voices. He understands that decisions made at city hall have real impacts on families, commuters, taxpayers, and growing communities like Queensborough.
Ken has lived in New Westminster for more than 20 years and in Queensborough since 2008. A lawyer and father of two, he has also been active in community sport as a Little League coach, umpire and board member. That combination of legal judgment, family perspective, volunteer service, and Queensborough experience will help him bring practical, neighbourhood-focused leadership to council.
