Maryann Morrison is an experienced executive, entrepreneur, and community leader with deep roots in New Westminster. Born in the city and with strong family ties here, Maryann has built a career spanning the corporate, non-profit, Indigenous, and public sectors, with a background in executive leadership, economic development, and community engagement.
Maryann currently serves as Executive Director of the North Fraser Métis Association, where she works with community members, governments, businesses, and organizations to develop programs, secure resources, and support the organization and the community it serves. Her broader career has given her firsthand experience leading organizations, managing priorities and budgets, developing initiatives, and delivering results.
Maryann believes local government should be practical, transparent, accountable, and responsive to the people it serves. Her priorities include supporting local businesses and economic development, building a safer and more vibrant downtown, strengthening arts, culture and heritage, supporting community organizations, and ensuring residents are consulted before decisions are made that affect their neighbourhoods.
